Clothing Line-up Tutorial by Altalamatox Clothing Line-up Tutorial by Altalamatox
Got quite a lot of questions about how I do my clothing line-ups lately.

If you're a little new to Photoshop and want to know how to clean up scanned artwork and what the heck I mean by 'set layers to multiply', I go over that stuff in the first half of this other tutorial.

Hope this is helpful! :)

PS. From left to right, Magda is wearing some kind of formal college robes, her battle garb, a nice dress, and a hack of Morgan's rags in which she is oddly badass.

What also helps with the tracing is a glass table, if your fortunate enough to have one. ;)
Thanks for the tutorial, Tox!

I don't think I ever commented on this one but I just feel the need to say THANK YOU. I've always wanted to do a clothes lineup like this but I have a hard time doing it digitally. This is amazing. Bless you.

Lol, I love drawing on trace and I would do it all the time if it wasn't too expensive. Butcher paper is also fun, but it will never ever give you a nice scan :c

I've discovered that for tracing paper, sometimes it smudges and sometimes it doesn't. So I guess it really depends on the brand

Lol, I have that exact same clipboard (. . . somewhere) and mechanical pencil - which I lost my original I used to use all the time and ran to the store to happily find they still sold ones just like it!

Can I just say that I love her college robes? And her battle garb. I want to make a skirt with pockets just like that now.

Really good tips.  When I get a good drawing I'm afraid of messing it up if I try to put clothes on it.

i love the way you draw, but just one thing... shoes with heels or a really thick sole lift you up making you taller then if you were barefoot.

Honestly, what I do these days is sit back on the couch in a sunny spot and put the board against my bent legs so the sun lights up the back of it. If that makes sense. A little easier than balancing over a lamp! (:

Amazing tips! I am defiantly going to start doing this. Except for the lamp thing. My mom would kill me if I used her lamp in this manner! Even if I tell her that it's for the sake of ART!

Thanks again for the tips.
