Wanted to paint some senseless art for the self today, thought I'd stem the guilt by turning it into the much-requested 'how do you make your stuff?' walkthrough.
Do mind that this is an explanation of my process not a specific tutorial. I threw in tidbits on how to do a few things as I went along.
Questions welcome!

More importantly, may I recommend some other digital tutorials?
For another explanation of isolating your lineart.
For a far better digital painting walkthrough. Anya is the master of bounced light, if you're not familiar with using bounced light in your work get over there and get educated.
Another lovely walkthrough, I picked up a lot of little jewels from reading this one. Including the cloud thing. Funny the things that don't occur to you. Me anyways... >_>
I also owe Anya, under her previous account, big time for posting this a million years ago and introducing me to subtractive shading.
Thank you once again!
I thinks I'll never do that
