I really wanted to know how I would go about making an expression page because I have never done one before and I think it would be really helpful with drawing my characters. If you don't mind explaining to me your technique on how to do it I would be really grateful~
I don't know that I have any awesome techniques to share, but I can tell you what I do to get ready for one of these. I find it's really helpful to look at a lot cartoony expressions before I start drawing. Like, I have a folder just packed with expressive faces, some from dA artists, many from animated movies. If you're not familiar with them already, go search out 'Disney expression sheets', or model sheets from your favorite animations, and look for pages full of faces. So inspiring! Once I've been reminded of how many ways you can push a face, I get down to drawing. It's like mental prep. (:
Of course, if you're still learning expressions- and we all are- model sheets are a great way to observe what the pros are doing and learn from them! Good luck!
(Oh- and never forget the value of pulling faces at yourself in a mirror.)
